On January 1, at 14։46 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that fire had broken out in an apartment in a building on Moldovakan Street of Yerevan city.

Three fire units and one autoladder from the Fire and Rescue Squads and the duty group of the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue Department of Yerevan Rescue Department and the duty group from Psychological Assistance and Medical Care Provision Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was left for the scene.

The rescuers evacuated 34 citizens, 11 of whom were from the smoke-covered area, and 1 citizen was taken to a medical center.

The fire was localized at 15:48 and extinguished at 16:13. Household items (about 18 square meters) were burnt.
