On May 20, at 18:53 information was received to Shirak Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred at the beginning of Mayisyan village: there were casualties.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It was found that“Mercedes-Benz C”, “Kia” and “Mercedes-Benz E” cars collided. The driver of “Kia” car died on the spot. The roadway was two-way closed.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver of “Mercedes-Benz C” car had been hospitalized in a medical center.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of the cars, loaded “Kia” car to a tow truck, and moved the dead body of the driver to the mortuary vehicle and conducted road washing actions. The traffic flow was restored.
