359 stuck cars were pulled out and appropriate assistance was provided to 877 citizens: the rescuers and police officers are providing enhanced service

The rescuers and police officers are providing enhanced service, pulling stuck vehicles out and providing appropriate assistance to citizens.

On February 20-21, numerous emergency calls were received to the Crisis Management National Center of the Rescue Service of MIA that vehicle had been stuck on the roads due to heavy snowfall in various provinces of the country.

During the reported period, 97 cases of stranded and stuck were recorded. In total, the rescuers pulled 359 stuck vehicles out and provided appropriate assistance to 877 citizens.

The highest number of stuck was registered mainly in Aragatsotn, Kotayk and Lori provinces, as well as of Yerevan city.

The rescuers alongside the police officers of MIA continue to work 24/7 to pull stuck vehicles out and assist the citizens.

Simultaneously, regular patrols are conducted on several interstate roads across the country and emergency points are established to assist drivers when needed and ensure citizens' safety.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again urges drivers to travel only with winter tires and to remain extra cautious by strictly adhering to traffic rules.
