What is psychological support and medical care provision?

• Organization and delivery of psychological services in the field of emergency situations, and provision of psychological assistance and counseling to the population.
• A comprehensive set of advisory, organizational, and medical measures in emergency situations aimed at providing first aid at the scene, organizing urgent medical and preventive measures and medical assistance, and preserving the health of and providing medical assistance to personnel involved in emergency response operations.

How are psychological support and medical provision carried out?

• Psychological counseling via hotlines.
• Psychological support - organization and implementation of registration, classification, and assistance for people in need of psychological help at the scene of an emergency or accident.
• If necessary, psychological counseling and support are also provided at the premises of the authorized unit of the Ministry.
• Provision of first aid to the population in emergency situations.
• Provision of medical consultations to the population.
• Organization of an adequate response to the situation at hand.
• Provision of medical assistance to persons involved in rescue operations at the scene of an emergency or accident.
• Provision of medical assistance to the population affected by emergency situations.
• Organization and implementation of training courses on the topic of "First Aid."

Psychological counseling is not provided:

• When the nature of the emergency call is not related to the functions of the Rescue Service's psychological service.
• When the emergency call is clearly false or has been found to be false upon follow-up verification.
• When the caller speaks in a foreign language (except English and Russian).
• When the caller displays inappropriate behavior by using offensive language or showing disrespectful conduct.
