Young Rescuers Competition was held: the winner was Ararat team

Strengthening physical fitness, improving knowledge and fostering teamwork. For 14 years now, the Young Rescuers Competition was brought together young rescuers from Yerevan and the regions of Armenia, with the aim of cultivating interest in the rescuer profession.

This time, the national championship was held in Yerevan. Participants from 13 teams representing the capital and the regions competed in pull-ups on a horizontal bar, push-ups, relay races and combined exercises from various sports disciplines.

"Traditionally, the Young Rescuers Competition is held every year. The goal is not only to promote firefighter-rescue sports, but also to spark interest in firefighting and rescue activities as a profession”, said RS Deputy Director Arsen Mkrtchyan.

The championship was the best opportunity to present the capabilities of future rescuers.

The tournament participants note that, in addition to competitive competition, the championship was also an opportunity to make new friends and establish personal connections.

The team from Ararat province  won the 2026 cup of “Young Rescuers” national championship, demonstrating high training, will and cohesion. As a result of a tense and competitive struggle, the second place was taken by the team of Kotayk province and the third place was taken by the team of Lori province.

Summing up the results of the championship, RS Deputy Director of the MIA Arsen Mkrtchyan congratulated the participants and emphasized the importance of such events in developing the professional orientation of young people, teamwork and skills in emergency situations.
