Yerevan Rescue Department summarized the activities implemented in June
In June, the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized and conducted a number of training exercises and lectures, continuing to enhance public awareness, develop skills for acting in emergency situations and aiming to build fundamental knowledge.
Specifically, special tactical training exercises on “Organization and implementation of firefighting operations” were organized and conducted at “Oval Plastic” LLC, “Yeraz” Business Center, “Nubarashen Poultry Factory” OJSC, “Yerevan Nursery-Kindergarten No. 136” SNPO, and “Yerevan Karen Asryan Basic School No. 171” SNPO.
Special tactical training exercises were also organized at “Yerevan Nursery-Kindergarten No. 20,” “No. 22,” “No. 124,” and “No. 59” SNPOs. These exercises focused on organizing protective measures for staff and children in case of a strong earthquake, fire and “Air-raid” warning siren.
At the same time, facility-based drills on Organizing Protective Measures for Staff and Visitors in Case of a Sudden Enemy Attack” were conducted at "Arabkir" joint medical center & institute of child and adolescent health” and “Polyclinic No. 19” CJSC.
As part of the activities, seminar-lectures on “Concept for the Formation and Development of the Volunteer Rescue Movement” were organized at Yerevan State Medical University and the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport. These sessions aimed to promote the development of public and volunteer rescue initiatives in Armenia.
Another seminar and practical training session were held at Azad Pharmaceuticals LLC, during which rescue service personnel demonstrated fire trucks and equipment to the staff, as well as presented the specifics of using primary fire extinguishing tools. Participants also had the opportunity to try out the equipment themselves.
Such events organized by the Rescue Service are ongoing in nature. They contribute to deepening knowledge and practical skills of the participants for proper and prompt response in emergency situations, while also raising overall awareness.
