Yerevan City Rescue Department summarized the months of March and April

Yerevan City Rescue Department under Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, remaining true to its mission of protecting the population, preventing emergencies and responding effectively to them, continued its active efforts in March and April aimed at enhancing professional preparedness and awareness. These efforts included organizing and conducting a number of on-site, headquarters and special tactical exercises, as well as seminar sessions.

According to the Action Plan, the personnel of the Yerevan City Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MIA conducted a number of training exercises aimed at enhancing both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of responders and employees of relevant organizations in emergency situations, ensuring population protection and appropriate response. In particular, on-site exercises on "Organization of actions in the case of an "Air-raid" warning siren" and "Organization of personnel and visitor protection in case of a strong earthquake" were organized and conducted at the "Arshakunyats" Health Center and "Grigor Narekatsi" Medical Center CJSCs respectively, paying special attention to ensuring the safety of both the population and the staff.

Headquarters exercise on "Organization of personnel protection in case of a strong earthquake" was also conducted in the staff of the head of the Avan administrative district, with the aim of developing the readiness of executive bodies to act in a coordinated manner in emergency situations.

Special tactical training exercises on "Organization and implementation of firefighting operations" were held in the capital's "Domus" store, "Nairit Factory" CJSC, as well as in a number of educational institutions. The exercises provided an opportunity to improve the tactical skills of the command staff, the ability to manage forces and resources, as well as the level of readiness of fire units.

At the same time, special tactical exercises were held in a number of schools and kindergartens on "Warning, evacuation, shelter in case of an enemy attack", as well as a seminar on "Firefighting in hotel complexes, primary fire extinguishing means and methods of their application" at the "Ani Plaza Hotel" CJSC.

The purpose of this seminar was to enhance the level of organization of population protection measures in hotels during emergencies and to improve the practical skills of management personnel, guests and service staff.

In total, aroucnd 7,200 people participated in these events, highlighting the high level of engagement and preparedness of the public and institutions in ensuring a comprehensive and effective response to emergencies.

The Rescue Service continues to prioritize the protection of the population and the improvement of preparedness for actions in emergency situations, considering such activities not only periodic but also continuous and of strategic importance in its operational processes.
