Yerevan City Rescue Department Summarized Activities for the Month of May

Yerevan City Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was actively organized and conducted a series of command-post and special tactical exercises in May. These efforts aimed to enhance the professional preparedness of personnel, raise public awareness, improve emergency response skills and provide foundational knowledge for handling emergency situations.
Aiming to increase the professional training of personnel, develop the level of awareness of the population, skills to act in emergency situations, as well as form basic knowledge, Yerevan City Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs actively organized and conducted a number of headquarters and special tactical training exercises in May.

According to the working plan, the employees of Yerevan City Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted special tactical exercises on "Warning, evacuation, shelter in case of an enemy attack" at "Yerevan Basic School No. 26 named after Armenak Armenakyan", "Yerevan Secondary School No. 47 named after Khachik Samuelyan", "Yerevan Basic School No. 61 name after King Argishti The First", "Yerevan Secondary School No. 95 after Ghevond Alishan", "Yerevan Basic School No. 199 named after Henrik Khachatryan", "Yerevan Special School No. 14 for Children with Visual Impairments after Nikoghayos Tigranyan" SNCOs and "Yerevan Nursery and Kindergarten No. 133" SNPO.

Special tactical exercises on “Organization and implementation of firefighting operations” were conducted at "Yerevan Musical Special School No. 13", "Yerevan High School No. 189 named after Samvel Gevorgyan", as well as "Yerevan Nursery and Kindergarten No. 122" and "Yerevan Nursery and Kindergarten No. 68" SNPOs.

Simultaneously, headquarters exercises on "Organization the activities of population protection in the case of a sudden enemy attack" were held in the staffs of the heads of the Erebuni and Kentron administrative districts.

Totally of 3,606 people participated in the above-mentioned events. Such exercises enable participants to acquire important knowledge and practical skills to correctly and quickly navigate in emergency situations, while at the same time improving the tactical abilities of the command staff, the ability to manage forces and resources and the level of readiness of fire units.

The educational activities carried out by the Rescue Service were of great importance for the society in terms of correctly orienting itself during emergency situations, understanding and applying the principles arising from safety. Such activities contribute to raising the level of awareness of the population and strengthening their trust in the relevant services.

It should be noted that this process is of an ongoing nature, aimed at forming and maintaining a safety culture in our society.
