Working session at the Rescue Service of MIA: the results of regional trainings summarized

On May 22, a working meeting was held under the leadership of the Director of RS – Deputy Minister of IA, r/s Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Rescue Service, as well as the commanders of structural and regional departments.
The results of the firefighting and rescue training conducted in regional departments during 2025 were summarized.
Kamo Tsutsulyan noted that the trainings significantly contributed not only to the development of the operative and tactical capabilities of the rescuers, but also ensured a rapid and coordinated response in emergency situations, continuously promoting the enhancement of professional skills.
The lead of the training working group, Advisor to the RS Director Armen Gevorgyan presented the progress of the training sessions conducted in the regional departments highlighting areas in need of improvement.
The trainings conducted in several regional departments of the Rescue Service included both theoretical and practical phases, designed for both officers and junior personnel. The content of the training was developed in line with the modern requirements of rescue operations.
The trainees were introduced to the specific features of organizing activities in high-altitude zones and at heights, methods for using rescue tools, as well as functions carried out with the participation of canine units.
Throughout 2025, such training sessions will be conducted on a regular basis.
Kamo Tsutsulyan, highly appreciating the activities done, emphasized that such a systematic approach to the work of the rescuers should become a continuous process. He noted that this not only contributed to improving the overall quality of the operations of the Service but also played a role in guiding the professional orientation of young aspiring rescuers.
