On November 17, a working discussion was held at the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by the Director of RS–Deputy Minister of IA, r/s Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan. The discussion was attended by the RS Deputy Directors and the leadership of the YRD.

During the meeting, current activities were discussed, including the implementation of assignments, issues raised, measures taken, accident handling and matters related to the re-equipment of fire and rescue machinery and property.

The leadership of Yerevan Rescue Department and the commanders of the fire and rescue squads presented their reports, after which Kamo Tsutsulyan highlighted the shortcomings and omissions observed during the service. He also issued a number of instructions aimed at increasing performance efficiency and labor discipline, while preventing any violations.

The Director of the Service introduced to the personnel the newly appointed Head of the Yerevan Rescue Department, r/s Colonel Gevorg Galstyan. He was appointed by the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan, through the rotation of his previous position as Head of the Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department.

Kamo Tsutsulyan expressed his confidence that Gevorg Galstyan will contribute to the further development of the department, ensuring transparency, efficiency and high discipline through his knowledge and many years of experience.

The RS Director emphasized in his speech the need to continue building a partnership-based, healthy and responsible working environment, as well as teamwork on resolving issues within the system, so that public trust in the Rescue Service can be further strengthened.
