When every new day is a challenge and every successful operation means a saved life, there is no room for mistakes.
The rescuers of Fire and Rescue Squad No. 8 of Yerevan operate on this principle: they were recognized as the best with their dedication and preparation in the results of the activity done in 2024. The summary results of the year record another important fact: the same squad also included the best fire and rescue group of the year.
The squad is distinguished not only by its high level of training, but also by teamwork. Each rescuers knew that his decision could be decisive for the life and health of another. This awareness was what shapes their daily activity: from training to real calls.
According to the Commander of the Fire and Rescue Squad Norayr Harutyunyan, the rescuers was repeatedly found themselves in the most difficult situations. The secret of their success was not only technical training, but also team psychology: here everyone was confident in the other. This mutual trust made the squad a flawlessly functioning system in any situation. The 4th group of the Best Fire and Rescue stood out from the others with its professionalism. The training and mutual relations of the rescuers allowed them to ensure a high level of efficiency even in the most stressful situations.
The daily routine of the rescuers was varied. They train to develop strength and endurance, improve flexibility and balance with rope exercises, conduct courses to reinforce theoretical knowledge, analyze the work performed, assess weaknesses and strengths in order to respond more effectively to the next calls. Each exercise and training prepared them for real challenges.
Another call was received right during our filming. The fire had broken out at a food court. "1 BIS" call was announced Due to the complexity: Minutes later the squad led by their commander was at the scene of the fire along with other units.
"Number 3" call was announced at the scene. Every step was calculated and based on team trust. The complexity of the fire required cool judgment, team collaboration and the need for quick orientation.
The firefighters knew that every second could be crucial and they implemented the activity with that awareness. The squad was not just a force fighting the flames, it was an entire system united by one goal: to save lives and prevent material losses. The fire was soon localized preventing any undesirable consequences.
The Fire and Rescue Squad No. 8 and the 4th group once again proved that they deserve the title of the best.
