On August 9, at 15:28 information was received to Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center that water rescuers on duty at the 3rd public beach of Lake Sevan noticed a citizen had swum away from the shore and was unable to return.

Responding promptly to the situation, the water rescuers brought the citizen safely to shore from a distance of about 200 meters.
