The injured Eurasian griffon vulture, a bird species listed in the Red Book of Armenia, was found in a settlement of Sisian community. The rescuers transported the bird to a safe area.

The rare bird was transported to Yerevan by Hrant’s Ark Foundation for necessary examination and medical care in cooperation with the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body and relevant specialists.

The bird's condition has improved.

The Rescue Service urges to immediately report any accident involving rare and endangered animal species to the relevant authorities. Timely assistance can be crucial in saving the animal and preserving biodiversity.
