On November 21, information was received to Gegharkunik Regional Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that a fire had broken out in Chambarak-Ttujur section: grassland had been on fire on the hillside.

An appropriate response was organized.  The units from Yerevan, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, and Tavush Regional Rescue Departments, the divisions of the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue Department and the Rescue Forces Departments, the rescue group from the Center for Carrying out Activities of Special Importance of the Rescue Service of MIA were involved in firefighting operations.
Firefighting operations were implemented throughout the night.

The fire was in 3 fire hearths, 2 of which were extinguished as a result of the prompt actions of firefighters. The spread of the fire to forested areas and residential areas was prevented.

Firefighting operations are continuing intensively at the third site.

At present, 253 rescuers are engaged in firefighting operations, supported by 34 auxiliary and 4 main vehicles. A drone was also being used.

The firefighting headquarters was established on-site to oversee operations. Firefighting operations also involved personnel from the Police, Patrol and Eco-Patrol services, as well as residents from neighboring villages.
