Two-day training in accordance with international standards

From February 17 to 18, the Rescue Faculty of “Crisis Management State Academy” SNCO organized and conducted training on "Training for the Leadership of USAR Coordination (UCC) Teams" in accordance with INSARAG standards by the order of the Director of the Rescue Service – Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. The training was attended by 14 rescuers from the Lori, Shirak, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Syunik and Ararat Regional Rescue Departments of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The purpose of the training was to enhance the preparedness of rescuers, develop their knowledge and skills regarding the functions and management systems of teams operating in compliance with international standards and apply these skills for more effective disaster response.

Participants were introduced to the main requirements, missions, and obligations of INSARAG UCC teams, including key issues related to conducting reconnaissance in the affected area, dividing activity zones, response phases and actions performed during these phases.

Additionally, the primary functions of the leadership of INSARAG UCC teams, the necessary documentation and circulation procedures for leadership processes, coordination and management systems, as well as planning and organizing medical support in exercises were studied.

The rescuers actively participated in the training, while the instructors demonstrated great willingness in presenting the topics and answering participants' questions.

The knowledge and experience gained will enable participants to apply these skills in their professional activity, contributing to positive outcomes.

At the end of the training, practical assignments were given to evaluate the acquired knowledge and skills.

Highlighting the participants' dedication, they were awarded certificates upon successful completion of the training.
