On January 12, at 12։16 an emergency call was received to Vayots Dzor Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred on Yelpin-Zangakatun roadway: the truck turned over onto its side and there was a stuck driver in a cabin.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad and the operative group of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Dongfeng” truck ran off the roadway and overturned at the 96th km of Yerevan-Meghri roadway. The driver was stuck in the cabin. The rescuers pulled the driver out of the car and moved to an ambulance. The casualty was hospitalized in a medical center.
