On October 13, at 15:07 an emergency call was received to Vayots Dzor Regional Crisis Management Center that the truck had fallen into the Arpa river near the Noravank crossroads on Yerevan-Meghri roadway.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that "Scania" truck (driver Z. G. born in 1990) ran off the roadway, crashed intp the roadside metal barrier and fell into the Arpa river on the 110th km of Yerevan-Meghri roadway.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver and passenger V. M. (born in 1977) had been pulled out of the truck.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery of the truck, pulled the driver and passenger out of the river and moved to the ambulance: the casualties were hospitalized in a medical center.

The rescuers carried out road washing activities, stopped the fuel leak, pulled the car out of the river with the help of special equipment and loaded the car to the tow truck.
