Trainings on "For first responders to radiological, chemical, biological cases" in Lori and Tavush provinces

From November 4 to 13, the specialists of Radiological, Chemical and Biological Situation Monitoring Division of Population Protection and Disaster Risk Reduction Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA organized and held professional training on "For first responders to radiological, chemical and biological cases" attended by 32 participants from the Fire and Rescue Squads from Ijevan and Vanadzor towns responding to radiological, chemical, and biological cases.

The purpose of the training course was to improve the skills of emergency response units in the regions and develop practical skills.

The courses were organized in the form of seminars and lectures, followed by practical exercises aimed at improving the professional skills and safety level of emergency response personnel in regional units.

First, the participants were presented with theoretical knowledge covering the basics of radioactive materials, types of personal protective equipment and disinfection methods. They then put this knowledge into practice by conducting practical exercises and simulation exercises.

The trainees were involved in practical tasks on modeling radiation, chemical and biological emergencies, conducted radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance, sampling and disinfection using special uniforms and equipment.

Please note that such initiatives allow participants to gain both in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills for a more effective emergency response.
