Training exercises ensure the continuous professional development of rescuers and the preparedness of educational institutions to potential threats

The effectiveness of the civil defense system depends not only on the professional training of rescuers, but also on the awareness of the population, especially the younger generation, and the skills to act correctly in emergency situations. For this purpose, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly conducts exercises in educational institutions.

On October 27, the personnel of the Collective Center of Civil Defense Forces of the Civil Protection Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted special tactical exercises on "Implementation of rescue and firefighting operations in the event of a collapse and fire at a school due to a possible attack by enemy air force" at the secondary schools named after V. Saghoyan in Chinari settlement and after A. Udumyan in Choratan settlement in Tavush region.

The purpose of the exercises was to conduct the activity in a number of directions:

• Increasing the readiness of rescuers: strengthening the knowledge and skills to act effectively in complex, emergency situations;
• Preparing the educational community: providing pupils and teachers with the knowledge and experience necessary to navigate emergency situations correctly;
• Testing cooperation mechanisms: testing the effectiveness of cooperation between rescue services and educational institutions.

During the training, a real emergency situation was simulated. The participants were introduced to the correct evacuation sequence, safety rules, basic principles of first aid and organization of rescue operations, as well as actively participated in the exercises and strengthened their knowledge in practice.

The preparedness of the younger generation was of key importance for effective response to emergencies. The regular training exercises ensure both the continuous professional development of rescuers and the preparedness of educational institutions for potential threats.
