The life of economist Zhirayr Mirzoyan changed 12 years ago when he decided to work as a driver in the Rescue Service of Ministry of Internal Affairs alongside his studies.
As a result of gaining professional knowledge, physical fitness, experience and leadership skills, he was appointed as a team leader six years later, in 2018. The bravery of the resident of Syunik, his adequate leadership skills and the ability to make correct decisions in difficult situations led him to the blue hall of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he was awarded the certificate of "The Best Team Leader”.
Captain Mirzoyan considers the title of "The Best Team Leader" a high recognition, which, according to him, was not a display of fame or success, but rather requires continuous diligent work, moral obligations and, most importantly, responsibility.
The sound of the emergency call was the same, but its content was different and the hero of the video highly values continuous training in their activity in order to respond effectively to each call. Retraining, mastering new technologies and methods ultimately enhances the professional qualities of a rescuer and contributes to the efficiency of rescue services.
Captain highlighted the humanitarian value as the most important one, without which he could not imagine himself in service. Callers were different people with varying issues and emotions. According to Zhirayr Mirzoyan, respect and patience were required for each person, regardless of the situation.
The goal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in evaluating in this format was not only to assess the effectiveness of the skills present in the activity but also to establish a continuous commitment to prove and maintain high standards and excellent results throughout future service.
The staff of the Public Communication and Awareness Department had the privilege of getting to know them with a special approach together with all the titleholders who were awarded "The Best of the Year" by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Captain Zhirayr Mirzoyan was the last of our nominees for 2023.
