Thematic training sessions related to the operation of fire autoladders in Yerevan city
The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continuously implements activities aimed at strengthening and improving the professional capacities of fire and rescue squads with the goal of enhancing the efficiency of the response of service and ensuring the highest possible level of public safety, within this framework from June 2 to 7, thematic theoretical and practical training sessions on "Working at heights with a autoladder" were organized and conducted in Yerevan by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs focusing on the development of the professional skills of fire and rescue squads.
The main objective of the training sessions was to strengthen the theoretical and practical preparedness of the personnel of the fire and rescue squads of the Yerevan City Rescue Department, as well as to improve their skills in organizing and carrying out operations at heights using a fire truck ladder.
The personnel of the fire and rescue squads who participated in the training sessions demonstrated a high level of preparedness, initiative and strong professional responsibility.
The training sessions included both theoretical courses and practical exercises focused on the following:
• improving skills in working at heights using a fire autoladder and ascending/descending stairs,
• operating in full firefighting gear and with breathing apparatus,
• conducting firefighting operations in high-rise buildings.
Similar training sessions are important from the point of view of periodic upgrading of the professional skills of the rescuers, as well as providing a more effective response to emergency situations.
