Within the framework of the World Civil Defense Day, the Regional Rescue Department of Gegharkunik province of MIA of RA and its subordinate units organized and conducted training exercises as well as public awareness events in several general education institutions in the province. 

With the aim of raising public awareness and emphasizing the importance of protective measures in emergency situations, special tactical exercises on the topic of "Warning, Evacuation, Shelter" were conducted by the fire and rescue squads of Gavar, Sevan, Martuni, Vardenis, and Chambarak at the secondary schools of Karmirgyugh, Varsev, Zolakari, Tsvaki, and Artanish. During these exercises, participants were provided with thematic brochures.

The main goal of the exercises was to improve the professional skills of the personnel in effectively solving rescue tasks during emergency situations, as well as to enhance the evacuation process in schools. This was aimed at ensuring organized and coordinated actions of the staff, preventing the risks of panic, and increasing the level of safety.

Such events play a crucial role in increasing the level of preparedness, allowing participants to develop the necessary skills and knowledge that will help them respond quickly, purposefully, and effectively in emergency situations.
