The Regional Departments of Ararat, Aragatsotn, and Armavir continue to conduct a range of activities

The Regional Departments of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continue to regularly hold various events aimed at increasing resistance and preparedness of the population, reducing the risk of disasters and implementing awareness measures.

The meeting of the disaster risk management council was held in the Vedu community hall of Ararat province led by Head of Vedi community G. Sargsyan with the participation of the Head of the Ararat RRD of RS of MIa of RA, r/s Lieutenant Colonel A. Ghukasyan, the commander of the Vedi Fire and Rescue Squad, as well as the members of the DRM council and the administrative heads of the settlements.

The issues of organizing awareness activities among the population, collecting and recording emergency accidents and accidents in settlements and implementing the actions defined by the "Disaster Risk Plan" plan of the Vedi community due to the increase in temperature in RA were discussed during the session, in order to minimize the risk of fires, which will enable in the case of emergency situations in the community, to respond adequately to the assessed needs, ensuring the protection of the population in it.

Training events were held by the subordinate units of Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Department: training on "First aid in case of bleeding and fractures" were held at Smbat Shahaziz Primary School No. 2 of Ashtarak and the House of Culture of Sasunik by the rescuers of the Ashtarak Fire and Rescue Squad within the framework of the backyard camp program implemented by the historical and cultural non-governmental organization "Armenians of the World", in which 39 pupils participated.

The training was held in an interactive version: the paramedic presented situations in which the children tried to present their first aid skills by quickly orienting themselves and completing the given tasks.

The events regularly organized by the rescue units give the children the opportunity not only to get acquainted with the activities of fire and rescuers and to get a clearer idea about it, but also to be ready for organized, correct and competent first aid skills in various life situations.

During the month, a special tactical training on "Organization of urgent measures in case of acute infectious diseases" was held by the branch of the Armavir Regional Rescue Department at the Armavir branch of the food safety inspection body of the Ministry of Health.

The goals of the training were to improve the abilities of the organization's leadership in the implementation of measures to protect the population in the event of acute infectious diseases, making decisions, ensuring the readiness of the forces and implementing urgent measures.

At the end, a summary of the training took place, the gaps and shortcomings were highlighted and eliminated them.
