Regional Rescue Departments continue activities to prepare the population

The Regional Rescue Departments of the Rescue Service of the MIA in all regions of the Republic continue to implement measures aimed at strengthening the civil protection of the population and preparedness to respond to emergency situations.

The rescuers of Regional Rescue Departments conducted top-table exercises with the leadership of a number of communities to organize population protection in case of earthquakes, mudslides, the risk of collapse of reservoir dams, as well as large forest fires within the framework of training, courses and practical exercises. Special attention was paid to improving assessment and decision-making skills in complex situations.

The subdivisions also conducted training sessions in educational institutions on "Basics of the impact of dangerous natural phenomena", "Warning sirens", "Man-made accidents and their prevention" and "Natural disasters". Events titled "Let's Get to Know Our School: Safe Entry and Exit" were also organized, during which pupils were introduced to fire and rescue equipment, equipment and techniques.

The rescuers improved their skills in organizing firefighting and rescue operations: evacuating people from smoke-covered areas, managing rescue operations in collapsed buildings, as well as responding to emergency situations at border checkpoints within the framework of special tactical exercises.

During the training exercises, the fire unit readiness of fire and rescue teams, as well as the effectiveness of cooperation between units were tested.

Practical exercises on "Warning, Evacuation and Shelter” were conducted in a number of settlements, with the pilot operation of civil defense sirens. The pupils and teachers of the school were involved in the exercises.
