Some roads are closed and difficult to pass in the Republic of Armenia

The Rescue Service informs that some roads are closed and difficult to pass in the Republic of Armenia.

The roads leading from “Amberd” high mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari and Amberd fortress are closed.

Fantan-Jraber (blizzard), Kaputan-Hatis-Zovashen roadways are closed for all types of vehicles.

All roadways in Lori province and Vardenyats Pass (snow, fog, blizzard) are closed for trucks and difficult to pass for other types of vehicles.

Tigranashen turns, the roadways leading from Jermuk crossroad to Syunik province and from Syunik village to Tatev are closed for trailer trucks, Artashavan-Tsilkar roadway is closed for trucks.

Spitak-Gyumri roadway is closed for trailer trucks and difficult to pass for other types of vehicles.

Intercommunity roadways of Amasia, Ashotsk, Artik regions, Gyumri-Bavra roadway, the roadways leading from M-2 to Jermuk town, and from M-3 to Shenkan village as well as the section called "Meghru sar" are difficult to pass for all types of vehicles.

It is snowing in Syunik, Lori, Vayots Dzor provinces, in Etchmiadzin and Vardenis towns.

Black-ice is formed on the roadways of Alagyaz region, on Dilijan and Tigranashen turns (blizzard), in the section between Hayrenyats and Lanjik villages of Gyumri-Yerevan roadway (blizzard).

Blizzard is noticed on the 25-40th km of Yerevan-Sevan roadway, on Lanjik-Mastara, Horom-Artik-Mets Mantash, Gyumri-Jajur, Charentsavan-Fantan, Charentsavan-Arzakan roadways.

Drivers must drive exclusively with winter tires.
