On April 13, personnel of Kotayk Regional Rescue Department and Hrazdan Fire and Rescue Squad of the Rescue Service of the MIA conducted a special tactical exercise at the Marriott hotel complex in Tsaghkadzor on "Organization and implementation of firefighting and evacuation activities in the event of a fire at a hotel complex," led by Gevorg Sedrakyan, Head of Kotayk Regional Rescue Department.

Patrol Service unit and emergency medical staff were also involved in the event.

The purpose of the exercise was to improve the practical skills of responding forces during firefighting and evacuation activities and to ensure effective coordination among the involved services.

According to the scenario, a simulated fire had broken out in the main building of the hotel complex.

Rescue units arriving at the scene following the emergency call carried out reconnaissance and situation assessment, after which evacuation of people, first aid provision, and firefighting activities were conducted.

Special rescue equipment was used to ensure the extraction and safe relocation of people in the danger zone. Simultaneously, firefighting operations were carried out to prevent the spread of the fire.

The emergency medical service ensured the provision of first aid and the transfer of simulated casualties to medical facilities.

During the exercise, the practical mechanisms of coordination among the involved services were tested.

Such events, regularly organized by the Rescue Service, play an important role in ensuring coordinated and effective actions in emergency situations, as well as in the continuous development of rescuers' professional skills.
