The activities aimed at raising public awareness became an important step in promoting the development of the population's preparedness.

In connection with World Civil Defense Day, special tactical exercises and lectures were organized and conducted at a number of educational institutions in the province by the subdivisions of the Shirak Regional Rescue Department. Specifically, special tactical exercises on the topic "Organization of Shelter in Case of 'Air Raid' Signal" were held in "Gyumri No. 5 Primary School," "Gyumri No. 23 Primary School," "Artik No. 4 Primary School," "Lanjik Secondary School," "Nikoghayos Aghbalyan Secondary School," "Byurakani Secondary School," "Marmashen Secondary School," "Amasia Secondary School," and "Tavshut Secondary School” SNCOs, at the same time, lectures on the topic "History of the Creation of the International Civil Defense Organization" were conducted at the following schools: "Dzorakap Secondary School," "Gyumri No. 4 Primary School," "Gyumri No. 5 Primary School," "Achuryan No. 1 Primary School," "Zuygakhbyur Secondary School," "Aregnadem Secondary School," and "Hayrenyatsi Secondary School."

The courses were aimed at raising the participants' awareness and development of the necessary knowledge, skills, and proper behavior in emergency situations.

As part of the events, thematic booklets were distributed to the participants, containing detailed information on behavioral norms in emergencies and providing advice on reducing panic and ensuring safety.

The events organized by the Shirak Regional Rescue Department effectively contributed to raising awareness among the population about various hazards and ways to protect against them. They emphasized the importance of the civil defense system and ensured that the population and educational institutions in the province are prepared for any situation.
