On February 26, at 11:32 the operative group of Syunik Regional Rescue Department noticed during patrolling that traffic jam had occurred at the 19th km of Goris-Shinuhayr roadway, near the ropeway: rescuers' help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department and one fire unit from Shinuhayr base of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

Rescuers towed 17 stuck trucks and 36 passenger cars out, provided assistance to 16 people at Shinuhayr first aid station, and 17 citizens on blocked section of the roadway.

With the help of rescuers and patrol officers, 105 trucks were removed from traffic jam and continued their way: the traffic flow was restored.
