On August 4, at 07:09 an emergency call was received to Vayots Dzor Regional Crisis Management Center that a car accident had occurred in the section called "Zanger": fire had broken out in one of the cars: there was a casualty.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that at the 168th km of Yerevan-Meghri roadway, "Kia" and "Mercedes-Benz" cars collided, resulting in a fire breaking out in the latter.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver of “Mercedes-Benz” car had been hospitalized at a medical center.

The fire was localized at 08:13 and extinguished at 08:22. The “Mercedes-Benz” vehicle was burnt.

Rescuers disconnected "Kia" car from the power supply.
