On May 18, at 11:53 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that car accident had occurred on the roadway leading from Tevosyan Street of Yerevan city to Jrvezh village: causing a fire and there were casualties.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Kia” car ran off the roadway, crashed into the fence of a nearby restaurant and caught fire on Tevosyan Street. The driver and passenger were hospitalized in a medical center.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the fire had been extinguished by the local forces. The engine part of the car was burnt.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery and closed the gas cylinder valve of the car.
