On October 9, at 14:56 an emergency call was received to Kotayk Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred on Yerevan-Sevan roadway: there were casualties and gas leak.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out "GAZel" car serving Ijevan-Dilijan-Yerevan route (driver H. T.) overturned on the 20th km of Yerevan-Sevan roadway: M. B. (born in 1979) died.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the casualties had been hospitalized in medical centers.
The health condition of five of the casualties (M. A., born in 1951, V. K., born in 1967, Y. A., born in 1954, D. B., born in 1985, H. T., born in 1985) was assessed as serious, the other two (M.A. born in 1965 and S. M. born in 2009) as stable and V.A. (born in 1972) died in the medical center.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery to the car, implemented the patrolling until the gas cylinder was discharged and moved the dead body of M. B. to the mortuary vehicle.
