On January 12, at 20:17 information was received to Vayots Dzor Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred near Arpi village: the rescuers’ help was needed.

One fire unit and the operative group from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “ZIL” truck (driver M. S.) and an “Opel” car (driver A. B. born in 1961) cars collided at the 114th km of Yerevan-Meghri roadway.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, A. B. had been hospitalized in a medical center.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery and closed the gas valve of “Opel” car, blocked off the scene with patrol officers.
