On October 17, at 03։07 an emergency call was received to Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred on the roadway leading to Dimitrov village: the rescuers’ help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Volkswagen” car ran off the roadway, collided with a gas pipeline and ended up upside down in the middle of the field at the 20th km of Yerevan-Meghri roadway. There was a gas leak.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery and closed the gas valve of the car, and implemented the patrolling until the gas emergency service arrived, taking the driver and passenger to the ambulance. The latter were hospitalized at a medical center.
