On January 21, at 22:08 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that truck had overturned on Ushi bends in Aragatsotn province: there were stuck citizens and the rescuers' help was needed.

One fire unit, the operative group from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department, the rescue groups from Center for Carrying out Activities of Special Importance of the Rescue Forces Department and the operative group from Crisis Management National Center of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

It turned out that “Howo” concrete mixer truck (driver M. A.) and “Mercedes-Benz” car (driver S. S.) collided at the 7th km of Ashtarak-Vanadzor roadway (Ushi bends). The driver of “Mercedes-Benz” car and the passenger T. H. died on the spot.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery of the truck, used special equipment to remove the driver and passenger from the truck cabin and moved to the ambulance. The casualty was hospitalized in a medical center.

The Director of RS-Deputy Minister of IA, r/s Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan, the Deputy Director of the Rescue Service, r/s Colonel Tigran Petrosyan and Head of Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Department, r/s Colonel Menua Asatryan were at the scene.
