On April 24, at 06:37 an emergency call was received at the Kotayk Regional Operational Management Center reporting that an RTA had occurred on the Yerevan-Sevan Highway in the area called “Chayni Bends”. A vehicle crashed into the barrier, and there was one injured person.

The rescue group from the Center for Carrying out Activities of Special Importance of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene. 

It was established that a Porshe vehicle ran off the roadway and crashed into a metal road divider, which then pierced the vehicle: the driver died at the scene.

The rescuers used special equipment to dismantle and remove the metal road divider components from the vehicle.
