On September 3, at 20:00 information was received to Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred  near the bridge of Mkhchyan village on the Yerevan-Yeraskh roadway: there were casualties and gas leak.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that "Mercedes-Benz" (driver E. G.), "VAZ" (driver Y. M. born in 1959) and "Honda" (driver A. F.) cars collided on the bridge of Mkhchyan village on the 12th km of Yerevan-Yeraskh roadway.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver of "VAZ" car had been pulled out of the car by the local forces and taken to the medical center, where the doctors assessed his health condition as fair.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed gas valves of "Mercedes-Benz" and "Honda" cars, loaded it onto the tow truck.
