On January 6, at 13:03 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Crisis Management Center that “Opel” car had been fallen into a gorge near the cemetery in Shirakamut village: the rescuers’ help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Opel” (driver G. A., born in 1952) car ran off the roadway and fell (about 30 meters) into a nearby gorge on the 13th km of Spitak-Gyumri roadway.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, passengers L. B. (born 1971) and R. M. (born 1998) had been gotten out of the car on their own.

The rescuers pulled the driver out of the gorge (about 30 meters) and moved to the ambulance. The driver and two passengers were hospitalized in a medical center, where they received appropriate medical care and were discharged.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery and the gas valve of the car.
