On November 22, at 11:10 an emergency call was received Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred near the Shambi hydroelectric power station: a truck fell into the Vorotan river: the rescuers’ help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad and the operative group of Regional Recue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that "Iveco" truck (driver A. Y. born in 1974, resident of IRI) ran off the roadway, crashed into the roadside barrier, damaged the drinking water supply to Shamb village and appeared in the Vorotan river on the 17th km of Sisian-Kapan roadway.

The rescuers pulled the dead body of the driver out of the car and moved to the mortuary vehicle.
