On May 8, at 13:15 an emergency call was received to Gegharkunik Regional Operative Management Center that car accident had occurred at the 10th km of Martuni-Gavar roadway. 

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.  

It turned out that “Mercedes-Benz” and “GAZ” cars collided. Five casualties were hospitalized.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of the cars.
