On August 26, at 15։04 the emergency calls were received to Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident occurred on Dilijan-Ijevan roadway: there were casualties.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.  

It turned out that "Mercedes-Benz" car (driver S. V. born in 1980) and "Ford" truck (driver A. Ye. born in 1989) collided on the 20th km of Ijevan-Dilijan roadway: the passenger of "Mercedes-Benz" car S. N. (born in 1962) died.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, A. Ye. had been moved and the passengers of "Mercedes-Benz" car M. A. (born in 1968), M. S. (born in 1950), G. S. (born in 1975), A. N. (born in 1958), S. S. (born in 2006) and G. G. (born in 1973) had been hospitalized in a medical center, where the latter died.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries of the cars and blocked off the scene.
