On August 28, at 21։11 an emergency call was received to Vayots Dzor Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred at the Vardenyats mountain pass: a tanker loaded with diesel overturned. There was a casualty.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

It turned out that "Volvo" tanker loaded with tanker (driver A. F. R. born in 1982) overturned on the 23rd km of Getap-Martuni roadway: there was a fuel leak from the car tank.

The driver was taken to the medical center, where the doctors assessed the health condition of the casualty as satisfactory.

The rescuers blocked off the scene, stopped the fuel leakage and carried out washing works on the road section. The special equipment was needed to put the car back onto its wheels.
