On April 12, at 18:15 an emergency call was received to Armavir Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred near Zvartnots Cathedral: there was a stuck citizen inside a car.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Mercedes-Benz” and “Nissan” cars collided at the 5th km of Vagharshapat-Yerevan roadway.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the stuck driver of “Nissan” car had been pulled out by the local forces.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery and closed the gas valves of the cars, moved the driver and passenger of “Nissan” car to the ambulance. The casualties were hospitalized in a medical center.
