On April 18, at 12:35 an emergency call was received to the 112 Operational Management Center of the MIA that a road traffic accident had occurred in the central section of the Dilijan tunnel: there was an injured person and rescuers’ assistance was needed.

One fire unit from the Special Water Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that a “Hyundai” car and a “ZIL” truck had collided, as a result of which the “Hyundai” car overturned; its driver was extricated from the vehicle and hospitalized.

The rescuers pulled the “Hyundai” car out of the tunnel.
