On May 23, at 13:30 an emergency call was received to Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred in Berd town: the rescuers' help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Mercedes-Benz” car ran off the roadway (about 10 meters) and appeared on a parked “VAZ-2107” car on Mashtots Street in Berd town.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries of the cars, closed the gas valve of “VAZ-2107” car and blocked off the scene.

The rescuers alongside ambulance personal, pulled the driver out of “Mercedes-Benz” car and moved to the ambulance. The latter was taken to a medical center, where doctors pronounced him dead.
