On April 24, at 02:18 an emergency call was received at the Aragatsotn Regional Operational Management Center reporting that an RTA had occurred on Van Heroes Street in Ashtarak City. One person was injured, rescuers’ assistance was required.  

One fire-rescue unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene. 

It was established that an Opel vehicle ran off the roadway and crashed into roadside reinforced concrete electric pole on Van Heroes Street.

The rescuers blocked off the scene, disconnected the vehicle from power supply, shut off the gas cylinder valve, assisted the driver to the ambulance and carried out roadway washdown operations. The driver was hospitalized.
