On August 12, at 17:05 information was received to Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred on Kajaran-Geghi roadway: there was a casualty.

The operative group from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that two “VAZ” cars collided at the crossroads leading to Geghi village. One of the cars fell into a nearby gorge (about 10 meters). The drivers and three passengers received injuries of varying degrees.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the casualties had been pulled out of the gorge by the local forces and hospitalized in medical centers.

The rescuers moved the casualty on a stretcher to the ambulance, blocked off the area and disconnected the automotive batteries of the cars.
