On September 25, at 19:03 an emergency call was received to Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center that car had been on fire at the beginning of Hovtashat village: there were stuck citizens.

Two fire units and the operative group from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Mercedes-Benz" (driver K. M. born in 1987) and "VAZ" (driver F. B. born in 1964) cars collided at the beginning of Hovtashat village, as a result of fire broke out in a “VAZ” car: passenger H. B. (born 1965) and the driver died on the spot. 

The driver of "Mercedes-Benz" car was hospitalized, where his health condition was assessed as fair.

The fire was localized at 19:20 and extinguished at 19:35.

The rescuers pulled the dead body of the driver of "VAZ" car out the body and moved to the mortuary vehicle.
