On August 2, at 05:20 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that a car accident had occurred on Yerevan-Echmiadzin roadway, near the Zvartnots neighborhood intersection. A citizen was trapped as a result of the crash.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that at the 5th km of Vagharshapat-Yerevan roadway, a "VAZ" car had collided with a parked "ZIL" truck. The driver of the "VAZ" vehicle was trapped.

Rescuers blocked off the scene, disconnected the vehicles from the power supply, closed the gas valves, and using special equipment, removed the driver and handed him over to the ambulance crew. The casualty was hospitalized at a medical center.
