On January 19, at 16։51 an emergency call was received to Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred at the end of Norashen village: there were casualties. The rescuers' help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Mercedes-Benz” and “Volkswagen” cars collided at the 11th km of Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, two casualties had been hospitalized.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of cars.
