According to the action plan for October of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA, the RS Regional Departments conducted the various activities aimed not only at ensuring the preparedness of the public and state structures to respond to emergencies but also at enabling quick response, reducing the consequences and ensuring the population protection.

The staff of Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Department and its subordinate units conducted several activities during the month. Particularly, special tactical training exercises on "Firefighting, evacuation and first aid organization in education institutions" were held by the Talin and Ashtarak Fire and Rescue Squads in Akunk and Aruch secondary schools, respectively.

Exercises on "Organization of populaction warning, evacuation, and shelter" were conducted in Mastara, Lernarot, Avan, Tatul, Bazmaghbyur and Parpi communities, during which the civil defense sirens were used.

The employees of Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Department also participated in a staff exercise on "Organizing civil defense measures during the transition to the relevant operating mode of CD system" were held at Alagyaz community administration.

Ararat Regional Rescue Department and its subordinate units organized and conducted a special tactical exercise on "Organization and implementation of firefighting in education institutions” at Marmarashen secondary school aimed at supporting the development of tactical thinking and enhancing the capabilities for managing resources and personnel during fires.

Additionally, seminars and practical training sessions on "Rules of behavior for the population during an earthquake" and "Evacuation and shelter in case of an “Air-raid” warning siren" were conducted at several general, preliminary vocational and secondary vocational education institutions by the staff of the department with the participation of the students, as well as teaching staff of these institutions. During the courses, the rescue department personnel presented lectures on the damages caused by earthquakes and rules of behavior, showed videos, and provided comprehensive answers to questions related to the topic. Armavir Regional Rescue Department also engaged in active activities during the month.

Special tactical exercise on "Implementation of firefighting, search and rescue operations in education institutions" was conducted at “Armavir Regional State College” SNCO by Armavir Regional Rescue Department and its subordinate units to verify and enhance the practical skills of responding forces and organizational units in conducting search and rescue and emergency recovery operations.

Numbers of special tactical trainings were conducted, in particular, "Organization and implementation of evacuation in case of fire" at the Armavir branch of the R.H. Yolyan Center for Hematology, "Evacuation of children and firefighting during a fire" at the Aygeshat Secondary School, "Firefighting and providing first aid" at a gas station in Vagharshapat, "Implementation of emergency recovery operations in case of an accident on the water supply line on Sayat-Nova street in Armavir" at the Armavir branch of "Veolia Djur' CJSC, "Measures to take necessary actions in case of fire" at the Baghramyan electrical network  of the Musaler branch of "Electric Network of Armenia" LLC.

The practical trainings on "Warning, shelter and evacuation" were held with the using the civil defense sirens, during which the shelter of school students and teaching staff was organized in a number of settlements of the Parakar community of Armavir province.

In addition, courses on "Rules of behavior of the population during an earthquake", "Rules of fire safety" and "Organization of evacuation of the population" were held in 16 educational institutions of the province by the rescuers alongside the employees of the Armavir Regional Department of Police.

The special tactical trainings on "Firefighting and evacuation in education institutions" and "Firefighting and providing first aid to the injured" were carried out in Martuni State Medical College, secondary schools and "State Drama Theater Gavar named after Levon Kalantaryan" to prevent the panic by the Martun, Sevan, Vardenis, Gavar Fire and Rescue Squads of the Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department.

The command training exercises on "The order of creation, preparation and operation of CD services and its formations" and "The main requirements submitted to CD plans, the procedure for their development, agreement and approval" were conducted at the Kotayk Regional Administration by the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department with the Heads of the Civil Defense Services staff of the region.

Population Protection Department of the Kotayk RRD conducted staff trainings on "Organization and implementation of population protection measures in case of an infectious disease leading to an epidemic" in the Hrazdan municipality hall with the administrative staff of the Jararat village and "Organization and implementation of population protection measures in case of a threat of flooding" in the Marmarik settlement of the Tsaghkadzor community.

Trainings on "Warning, evacuation, shelter", "Organization and implementation of staff shelter in case of an "Air-raid" warning siren", "Rules of behavior of the population during an earthquake", "Organization of evacuation of the population" were held and organized in secondary and primary schools of the region, as well as in a number of kindergartens, a special tactical training of the same name on "Organization and implementation of firefighting and evacuation operations in case of a fire in an education institution", at the same time a special tactical training on "Fire extinguishing and evacuation in case of fire in the fire and explosion hazardous facility" at the "Jraber Gaz" gas station.

Staff exercise on "Implementation of population protection measures in case of mudflow risks" was conducted in Vayk community of Vayots Dzor Province during the month. This exercise aimed to enhance the practical skills of community leaders in responding to the dangers and occurrences of mudflows, as well as their abilities to assess situations and make decisions in complex circumstances.

Staff exercise on "Actions of the Personnel of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue of RA in case of landslides in Tavush province" was conducted in Tavush Regional Rescue Department. The purpose of the exercise was to assess the preparedness of the personnel for decision-making during rescue and urgent recovery operations in case of landslides.

The department also conducted special tactical exercises on "Organization and implementation of firefighting operations in education institutions" and "Emergency recovery operations following an explosion in the gas pipeline network".

Similar measures to develop the capacities of both the rescuers of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA and the population are permanent aimed at deepening the cooperation of the society and state institutions and making available the means to reduce the risks of emergency situations.
